INTERVIEW: Chatting With The Cast Of Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Captain America: The Winter Soldier called Cleveland its home for a good chunk of last summer. But filming in the city caused some major headaches as several streets (oh, and a little thing called the Shoreway) were shut down for some huge chase scenes filled with plenty of explosions. I know firsthand that sitting in the traffic it caused wasn’t fun at the time. But it’s almost a year later now and the payoff on the big screen is well worth it. This movie is incredible, and there are so many moments where you can pick out distinct landmarks in downtown Cleveland… I even saw my apartment building!
So how did the cast feel about shutting down the Shoreway? What was their favorite part about our city?
Marvel Studios invited me to fly to Los Angeles to chat with Captain America himself, Chris Evans, as well as Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and directors Anthony and Joe Russo who are Cleveland natives. They answer those questions, Chris Evans tells us about his workout plan and we learn everything we need to know about Captain America 2 and even get some insight on Captain America 3.
